Scope
A one day course aimed at Social Workers, especially those undertaking CPEL. This course is part 2 of a 2 part programme. Participants need to have completed Process & Practice In Children Protection or The Realities of Child Protection before attending this course. Completion of both courses take key elements from the 6.5 day Process & Practice but does not replicate Process & Practice exactly.
This course does not go through the Wales Safeguarding Procedures and assumes the participant has some knowledge of the procedures prior to attendance in relation to:- Key definitions relevant to safeguarding children; Strategy meetings; S47 Enquiries; Core groups and Planning for Children.
This course is also suitable for previous participants of Process & Practice In Child Protection who may wish to refresh their knowledge and skills.
